Agra: Police constable Rohtash Kumar was promoted as in-charge of Meerapur police outpost under Shahpur police station in Muzaffarnagar by SSP Sanjeev Suman on Sunday. Rohtash joined the force in 2011. SP (rural) Atul Kumar Srivastava said, The constable was appointed as per rules and regulations to motivate others. A police official said, Due to the increasing number of sub-inspectors, constables havent been getting this opportunity for many years. SSP Muzaffarnagar has resumed the procedure. Meanwhile, SI Shiv Singh Nagar was appointed at Dadhedu outpost, SI Vijay Sharma at Bhandur outpost and SI Shailendra Gaur was removed from Kalyanpur outpost. Hindon outpost in-charge Nitin Kumar was sent to Mansoorpur and SI Mahendra Gautam was appointed as the new in-charge. SI Ravi Kumar was transferred from the police line to Charthawal outpost.
