Groom in police net, bride marries his brother

Agra: A 26-year-old man, who was on his way to Aligarh from Sikandrarau along with his wedding procession, was arrested by the police near the toll plaza after he was booked for stealing liquor. The incident took place in Aligarh, late on Monday evening. Meanwhile, in an unexpected twist,after waiting for hours for the baraat and the groom, the bride married Faizals brother, on the same day. According to police, Faizal Ahmed is an accused in the recent theft that took place on August 18, in Kasimpur village under the Akrbad police station in Aligarh. Faizal allegedly stole 35 liquor boxes by breaking the locks of a liquor vend. Police said, The salesman had registered a case and Ahmed has been sent to jail. Further investigation is on. Deputy superintendent of police (Barla, Aligarh), Sarjana Singh said, Faizal left his motorcycle on the theft spot that gave us clues and led to his arrest. Faizal is a resident of Sikandrarau of Hathras and his wedding was fixed with a girl from the Bhujpura area under the Rorawar police station area of Aligarh city.
