History-sheeter out on bail demands Rs 1 cr from family of slain property dealer

AGRA: History-sheeter Bhanu Pratap Mudgal alias BP, who came out on bail three months ago, allegedly threatened the family of a property dealer he shot dead in public on December 19, 2020 for Rs 1 crore in Agra district. Before his death, Haresh Pachori had filed a police complaint against Mudgal, claiming he had been threatening to kill him over non-payment of Rs 10 lakh ransom. According to the recent police complaint filed by Pachoris nephew, Rahul, Mudgal and his associates intercepted his car, put a pistol to his head and threatened him to pay Rs 1 crore. Rahul is an eyewitness to his uncles murder, as per the FIR. Sadar police station house officer Neeraj Kumar, said, An FIR was registered against the history-sheeter under IPC section 341 (wrongful restraint), 387 (putting a person in fear of death or of grievous injury), 504 (insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation). Two of his associates have also been named in the FIR. Shetty is already facing charges of kidnapping and rape and had previously been banned from entering certain areas under the jurisdiction of the Mumbai police.
