After seeing off daughter, doc dies while deboarding train

Agra: A man, in his 60s, died after falling under a moving train while trying to alight from the train at Raja Ki Mandi railway station in Agra on Sunday around 6.30 am. The body of the man was split into two as the train moved over his body. The incident was caught on the CCTV camera of the station.The victim has been identified as Dr. Lakhan Singh, a prominent laparoscopic surgeon in Agra.He had gone to drop his daughter at the station and was trying to alight from the train, when the incident occurred. His daughter is a MBBS student at KGMU, Lucknow.SHO Hariparwat police station Arvind Kumar said, The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. The CCTV footage of the incident showed that the leg of the doctor got stuck as he was trying to deboard the moving train. He was dragged along the platform before falling into the gap between the train and the platform. Officials said the incident was so sudden that there was no time for the trains operator to apply emergency brakes. The GRP and RPF personnel on duty at the railway station rushed to the spot after getting information about the accident.
