17-yr-old held hostage, gang-raped in Mathura

AGRA: A 17-year-old girl studying in class 12 was allegedly gangraped by four men in Mathura district on Thursday. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of Surir police station.The 20-year-old main accused forcefully took the girl to his home while she was on her way to school and gangraped her along with his three friends. The girl was also threatened not to report the matter to the police or her family members. On the basis of a complaint filed by the girls father, an FIR has been registered against the main accused and three unidentified persons under IPC section 376 D (gangrape), 342 (wrongful confinement) and sections 3 and 4 of the Pocso Act.Additional superintendent of police Trigun Bisen said, "The girls medical examination has been conducted. She was taken to court to record her statement before the magistrate. The accused men are absconding. Efforts are on to arrest them."(The victims identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
