Agra: Prime Minister Narendra Modis visit to Mathura for Braj Raj Utsav on Thursday holds political significance ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He will participate in festivities and witness a presentation by Mathura MP and veteran actor Hema Malini on 525th birth anniversary of Saint Meera Bai. This event will boost her preparation to contest the Lok Sabha elections for the third time, BJP sources suggest.As the actor turned politician turned 75 this year, she crossed BJPs mandate on age bar for poll contestants. Earlier, she had stated she is physically fit and willing to contest the election.Several contestants, including Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and Nitish Bharadwaj, who played the role of Lord Krishna in TV show Mahabharata, have started pitching for the party ticket.
