Paratrooper killed in J&K was to get married on Dec 8

AGRA: Ramesh Chand Laur, a local farmer, and his wife Bhagwati Devi, at Nagariya Goraula in Aligarh, are still in shock and grief. Their son, Paratrooper Sachin Laur, 24, was killed fighting terrorists in the Rajouri area of J&K.On Friday, Ramesh said, "His wedding was to take place on December 8. All preparations had been done and invitation cards distributed.My son asked the family to place the Tricolour on top of the house before initiating wedding rituals and decorations. We were eagerly waiting for his return."Sachin called dad to inform about big op two days ago Instead, we received this news. He died in the line of duty. Im proud of my son, Ramesh added. Two days ago, Sachin had called his father to inform him about a big operation. According to Ramesh, his son had said that doh atankwadi marney hai. Sachin had also called his brother, Vivek, who is serving in the Navy, to go home and help the family and parents with marriage preparations. Im going for a major operation. Might remain out of touch, he had said. Vivek added: He used to run 25 kms daily, and motivated children to join the armed forces. Fulfilling his childhood dream, Sachin joined the Army as a jawan in March 2019 and became a commando in special forces in 2021. His relative and BJP district president Kishanpal Singh said, Sachin had started preparing for the Army when he was in Class 6... He was fond of riding bikes and had told his father he would travel to Punjab for 2-3 days before the wedding to get his Royal Enfield Bullet modified. People from across the district assembled in the village to pay their last respects. The body arrived late in the evening. No one in the village cooked food today, a local said. Meanwhile, CM Yogi Adityanath wrote on X: UP government is with the bereaved family at this hour of grief.
