The traffic police should also be deputed at the spot to check this problem, he added.

Earlier, a team of the traffic police used to be stationed here for checking speeding of vehicles besides checking the wrong-side driving from this point. However, there is no check nowadays which has led to this practice. “People themselves should understand this. By indulging in wrong-side driving for climbing the elevated road, they not only pose a risk to other lives, but also to their own lives,” said a vigilant citizen, Gurbhej Singh. The traffic police should also be deputed at the spot to check this problem, he added.
