Vaijapur MLA resigns in support of quota demand

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Vaijapur Shiv Sena (Shinde) MLA Ramesh Bornare on Tuesday quit in support of the Maratha reservation demand. Bornare is the third MLA from the Shinde camp to resign citing the quota demand. The Maratha community is holding fasts and staging demonstrations for OBC status but in vain. The community has strong sentiments attached to the demand and I extend my support to it, he said.The Vaijapur MLAs resignation comes close on the heels of BJP MLA Laxman Pawar, Congress MLA Suresh Warpudkar, Hingoli MP Hemant Patil and Nashik MP Hemant Godse stepping down in support of the communitys demand.Meanwhile, Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange has slammed MPs and MLAs quitting their posts.
