SAMBHAJINAGAR: Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange on Wednesday turned down Maharashtra CM Eknath Shindes appeal to give the state government more time to fulfil his demand, saying the agitation had reached "a do-or-die situation" and that he couldnt "step back at any cost" from his indefinite hunger strike.Jarange, who stopped drinking water again, said he wouldnt relent this time until the state government agreed to recognise the entire Maratha community as Kunbi and include them in the OBC category. The quota activist made the announcement after CM Shinde said that an all-party meeting earlier in the day decided that reservation should be given to the Maratha community without tampering with the existing quotas for other communities in the state.
