Do not carry firecrackers on train, says SCR

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The South Central Railway (SCR) has warned passengers that carrying firecrackers and explosives in trains is a punishable offence, incurring a fine worth Rs 1,000, jail for up to three years or both.Carrying inflammable articles in train is a punishable offence under Section 164 and Section 165 of the Railway Act 1989. In the interest of public safety, passengers are requested not to carry such items, chief public relations officer of SCR Ch Rakesh said.We also published the following articles recently425 special trains for Diwali, Chhat festivals: Central RailwayThe Central Railway in Mumbai will be operating 425 special train services for the Diwali/Chhat festivals, providing an additional carrying capacity for almost 3 lakh passengers. The special train services will be distributed across various regions including Nagpur/Amaravati, Nanded, Kolhapur, Thivim/Mangluru, Kanpur/Varanasi/Gorakhpur, Danapur, Samastipur/Chhapra/Sivan/Hatia, and Indore.425 special trains for Diwali, Chhat festivals: Central RailwayThe Central Railway will be running 425 special train services for the Diwali/Chhat festivals, providing an additional carrying capacity for around 300,000 passengers. These services will be in addition to the regular Mail and Express trains running during this period. The special train services will be offered to various destinations such as Nagpur, Amaravati, Nanded, Kolhapur, Thivim, Mangluru, Kanpur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Danapur, Samastipur, Chhapra, Sivan, Hatia, and Indore.Odisha: MEMU passenger train derailsA coach of the Jharsuguda-Sambalpur MEMU train derailed after hitting cattle in Sambalpur, India. No injuries were reported in the incident. The wheels of the fourth coach came off the track, causing a blockage that took two hours to restore. An Accident Relief Train was dispatched to the scene, and the track was declared fit for train movement with a caution speed of 30 km per hour.
