Parbhani SP gets Bal Snehi award

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Taking cognizance of her efforts in unearthing an interstate child trafficking racket, the state child commission on Wednesday awarded the Bal Snehi award to Parbhani SP R Ragasudha at an event held in Mumbai.The event, organised by Maharashtra child rights protection commission chairman and advocate Sushiben Shah, was presided over by Maharashtras women and child development minister Aditi Tatkare and attended by leader of opposition Vijay Waddetiwar, among others. Of the six children rescued by the Parbhani police, four were found to have been kidnapped from the Parbhani district, while one each from Thane and Mumbai. In this process, the Parbhani police unearthed the entire chain ranging from the local tutors to the driver transporting the children, to the hospital workers who collected data of couples looking to purchase kids. A total of 32 accused belonging to the states of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and even West Bengal have been arrested in this case.When contacted, Ragasudha said, It was a team effort and I give credit to my entire team of subordinates for stretching their individual capabilities in rescuing the children who were kidnapped by a trafficking gang.
