Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Beed district civil surgeon has issued an order cancelling the licence of an under-construction hospital managed by a trust headed by NCP (Ajit Pawar camp) MLA Prakash Solankes wife.As per the records, Majalgaon Vikas Pratishthan started work on construction of the 100-bed Ratnasundar Memorial Hospital and Research Centre in 2011.Based on a complaint lodged by one Subhash Nakalgaonkar — for violation of norms by the hospital — Beed district civil surgeon Ashok Bade ordered medical superintendent Dr Vijay Katte to conduct an inquiry. Based on the inquirys findings, a report was submitted to the civil surgeon office last month, following which the order cancelling permission of the hospital was issued.Despite repeated attempts, Dr Bade could not be reached for his comments, while Dr Katte refused to comment on the inquiry report submitted by him. However, Beed civil surgeons office confirmed that the order was passed by its office stating that the inspection and inquiry were carried out under the Bombay Nursing Home Registration Act, and certain violations were found. The order states that the hospitals licence has been cancelled permanently. It has also asked the trust to deposit the copy of the licence with the civil surgeons office. The permission was granted for the hospital by the Beed district civil surgeons office in 2012. However, even after a decade, the hospital is yet to be completed.Talking to TOI, Solanke said: When we took up the project, we did not expect it to get so delayed. We got the permission and licence for the hospital. It is absolutely alright if the Beed civil surgeon has cancelled it. Now, we have decided to seek permission only after the completion of the structure and other related formalities. We also published the following articles recentlySurgeons use advanced laser technique to restore vision in Marfan syndrome patientA team of eye surgeons successfully restored normal vision in a 35-year-old woman living with Marfan syndrome by performing a selective laser capsulotomy procedure.
