Bamu students to get copies of answer sheets via email

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Students of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) will now be getting photocopies of their answer sheets via email on application for grievance redressal.The universitys senate has taken this decision that is expected to save students time and energy.As per the existing procedure, the photocopies are sent to the respective colleges on their registered accounts, from where these documents are made available to students.Governor-appointed member of the Bamu senate, C L Godbole, who raised the demand to send photocopies of answer sheets directly to students, said the latest reform would expedite the redressal process. The non-teaching employees generally have access to the official accounts of registered affiliated colleges. Students need to pay multiple visits to colleges to know whether their photocopies have been sent by the university or not. The latest reform would benefit scores of students, he said.Advocacy group Vidyapeeth Vikas Manch (VVM), which has been pursuing the demand for giving direct access of photocopies to students, demanded the immediate implementation of the reform passed by the Bamu senate. The delay in the redressal process directly impacts the preparation of students. Many students wait for the redressal outcome till the examination approaches, VVM state secretary Gajanan Sanap said.Students applying for redressal must submit a form and a fee of Rs 100 per subject through their respective colleges within 10 days of the declaration of the result.
