BJP & partners will win 340-350 Lok Sabha seats: Girish Mahajan

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: BJP functionary and state cabinet minister Girish Mahajan on Sunday said his party and alliance partners will win at least 340 to 350 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.Many people have said that the assembly elections are a preliminary test ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. We came out with flying colours in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.We had little hope from Telangana. With this, BJP and its alliance partners are looking to win at least 340 to 350Lok Sabha seats in the country, he said.Speaking to reporters here at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar after early results and trends projected BJPs victory in three states, Mahajan said people have voted for development and have endorsed the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.The BJP leader, who is considered a close confidante of deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, also claimed that the Shinde-Fadnavis-Pawar government in Maharashtra would comfortably achieve two-thirds majority in the 2024 assembly polls.Taking a dig at the Uddhav Thackeray faction of the Shiv Sena, Mahajan said it would get a historic drubbing in the upcoming Lok Sabha election by failing to win even a single seat. They won 18 Lok Sabha seats and 55 assembly seats last time only because of Modijis magic. She mentioned the example of Congress winning in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in 2019, but facing a different outcome in the Lok Sabha polls. Sule also congratulated BJP on their likely victories in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. BJP is set to win two-thirds majority in Madhya Pradesh and form governments in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. Congress is leading in Telangana and is expected to take over from Bharat Rashtra Samithi. Counting in Mizoram will be held on Monday.
