Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Even though Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar has witnessed the enrollment of over 23.3 lakh beneficiaries of Ayushman health cards across the district, only 19% of the mandatory e-KYC of these cards has been done so far, affecting the implementation of the scheme. The poor pace of e-KYC-related work has resulted in the district figuring at the bottom among the eight districts of Marathwada in accomplishing the key formalities. While the remaining districts from the region too have not fared well, Nanded district is at the top, having achieved 27% e-KYC of Ayushman cards, followed by Parbhani (25%), Dharashiv (24%), Hingoli (23%), Latur, Jalna (both 22%), and Beed (21%), according to official data. The flagship scheme of the Government of India, Ayushman Bharat, offers a defined benefit cover of Rs 5 lakh per family per year.
