Maharashtra minister Chhagan Bhujbal invites Siddaramaiah, Tejashwi Yadav and Prakash Ambedkar for January 7 OBC meet

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: OBC leaders, led by state food and civil supplies minister Chhagan Bhujbal, have invited several dignitaries to attend the mega OBC gathering scheduled on January 7 at Narsi Nayegaon in Nanded district.This includes Karnataka chief minister Siddhramaiah, Bihar deputy CM Tejaswi Yadav, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi chief Prakash Ambedkar among others By inviting the prominent OBC politicians from different parts of the country, the event organisers intend to make it the largest OBC gathering so far. In addition to these senior politicians, invitations have already been sent to other crowd-pullers from Maharashtra including leader of opposition Vijay Waddetiwar, OBC leader Prakash Shendge, BJPs Pankaja Munde, Rashtriya Samaj Paksha MLC Mahadev Jankar, BJP MLC Gopichand Padalkar, said OBC Janmorchas coordinator Dr B D Chavan. Chavan clarified these public meetings should not be considered to be against people of any particular caste or community. All these events are aimed at safeguarding the interests of the OBC communities and generations to come, he said. The organisers of the event have already identified a 70 acre field to host the event. For now, preparations are underway to cater to four lakh people, who are expected to attend the event from different parts of the state, said the organisers. Insiders said the OBC politicians plan to hold at least four mega public meetings in Nanded, where Jarange too had held a series of meetings while pitching for Maratha reservation. Following the announcement, Nanded district police have started gearing up for the event. Senior police officers were not immediately available for their comments.
