BAREILLY: A day after Union minister Uma Bharti said at a rally that she got rapists beaten and tortured when she was chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, she told TOI on Friday that if the BJP forms the government in UP, those who sexually assault or molest women would be beaten up. "Such criminals will be handed over to the law enforcement agencies only after the victim or survivor is satisfied with the beating," said the BJP leader.Addressing media persons in Bareilly, Bharti said, "More like-minded people from other parties will join BJP in future and it will be a party of good people. Other parties will be left with people like Rahul Gandhi , who cannot join BJP."Commenting on SP leader and Mulayam's daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav 's statement that reservations should be on the basis of economic status, Bharti said, "BJP is clear that reservation on caste basis will be given but the younger generation of SP is against it. SP should clear its stand on reservation."Targeting Mulayam's daughter-in-law and chief minister Akhilesh Yadav 's wife, Dimple Yadav, Bharti said, "Dimple comes out only during elections. She should have come out and wiped the tears of the mother and daughter who were gangraped in Bulandshahr and also of poor." Bharti said scared people have joined hands and that the SP-Cong alliance will break after March 11, when the election results will be declared.Asked about the recent order by the National Green Tribunal that not a single drop of water in the Ganga has been cleaned, Bharti said, "Ascetics who took dip in the Ganga at the Sangam in Allahabad recently claimed that the river water has become cleaner. We respect NGT's order and will take steps to 'bring the Ganga from the list of 10 dirtiest rivers of the world to the list of cleanest 10 rivers of the world'.""Our defence minister, home minster and the PM, chiefs and soldiers of the three defence forces are fully capable of defeating our enemies. India will lead in defeating terrorism across the world," Bharti said, adding that BJP will form the government in UP with full majority.
