Mansa administration seals 27 borewells

Bathinda, June 14The administration has sealed 27 borewells in Mansa district to avert any untoward incident. All departments concerned have been directed to close open borewells in the district and report the same to the district administration immediately. She said as per reports of various departments till June 13, a total of 27 borewells had been sealed in the district. The DC added that 11 borewells were closed in Bhikhi and nine in Gobindpura. Besides, four more borewells found open in Bhikhi have been shut.

Bathinda, June 14 The administration has sealed 27 borewells in Mansa district to avert any untoward incident. All departments concerned have been directed to close open borewells in the district and report the same to the district administration immediately. As per a release issued here on Friday, Mansa DC Apneet Riyait said though various departments were keeping an eye on open borewells, public too could report about the same to the district administration so that these could be closed as soon as possible. She said as per reports of various departments till June 13, a total of 27 borewells had been sealed in the district. The DC added that 11 borewells were closed in Bhikhi and nine in Gobindpura. Besides, four more borewells found open in Bhikhi have been shut. Besides, a borewell was found open in Dyalpura village of Budhlada and two at Sardulgarh. All these borewells have been closed permanently. — TNS
