Simranjit of Vishwas School bags gold medal in long jump

In long jump U-14 girls’ category, Simranjit Kaur of Vishwas Public School, Bathinda, bagged the first and Himanpreet Kaur of Lord Rama School, Bathinda, bagged the second positions. In long jump U-17 boys’ category, Jashanpreet Singh of Behman Diwana bagged the first and Arban Yadav of Lord Rama School, Bathinda, second position. In U-14 category, Jiteshwar of Lord Rama School, Bathinda, bagged the first and Gursewak Singh of Behman Diwana, second position. In U-19 category, Dev Raj of Balluana bagged the first and Sandeep Kumar of MSD School, Bathinda, second position. In 1,500 meter girls U-17 category, Jaman Kaur bagged the first while Virpal Kaur of Behman Diwana got the second position.

BLOCK-LEVEL SCHOOL GAMES Bathinda, September 18 Private schools players gave their best on the second day of the 65th block-level school games being played at Behman Diwana village in the district. The three-day games were inaugurated here on Tuesday. District Education Officer Kulwant Singh and Assistant DEO (Sports) Iqbal Singh Buttar also were present to boost the confidence of players. In long jump U-14 girls’ category, Simranjit Kaur of Vishwas Public School, Bathinda, bagged the first and Himanpreet Kaur of Lord Rama School, Bathinda, bagged the second positions. In U-19 category, Rajvir Kaur of Government Senior Secondary School, Bathinda, bagged the first and Harpreet Kaur of Behman Diwana won the second position. In 5,000 meter walk boys’ U-19 category, Jindal Singh of Behman Diwana bagged the first and Arpanmeet of Baba Farid Deon got the second position. In 800 meter girls U-17 category, Laxmi of Government Senior Secondary School, Balluana, bagged the first and Harpreet Kaur of Behman Diwana got the second place. In 1,500 meter girls U-17 category, Jaman Kaur bagged the first while Virpal Kaur of Behman Diwana got the second position.
