Malwa sarpanch directory released

Tribune News ServiceBathinda, September 18Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa on Wednesday released ‘Malwa Sarpanch Directory’ at Punjab Bhawan, Chandigarh. The directory provides details of seven districts of Malwa region, which includes information of sarpanches with photographs, mobile number, police station and Vidhan Sabha constituency. The directory has been prepared by social worker Gora Sandhu Khurd. He directed the officials to launch this online directory as soon as possible. The directory includes information about sarpanches of Sangrur, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Faridkot, Bathinda, Barnala, Moga and Mansa districts, said Gora Sandhu.

Bathinda, September 18 Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa on Wednesday released ‘Malwa Sarpanch Directory’ at Punjab Bhawan, Chandigarh. The directory provides details of seven districts of Malwa region, which includes information of sarpanches with photographs, mobile number, police station and Vidhan Sabha constituency. The directory has been prepared by social worker Gora Sandhu Khurd. The minister announced that the department would soon launch an online directory providing details of all zila parishid members, block samiti members, sarpanches and panches of the state. He directed the officials to launch this online directory as soon as possible. Lauding the efforts of Gora Sandhu, the Cabinet minister said that he should try to compile details of all sarpanches of the state in the next edition of directory. The directory includes information about sarpanches of Sangrur, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Faridkot, Bathinda, Barnala, Moga and Mansa districts, said Gora Sandhu. He said the directory would be very useful in connecting people of these seven districts. Kuljit Singh Nagra, adviser to the CM, Nathu Ram, MLA, Darshan Lal Mangupur, Seema Jain, Principal Secretary Rural Development and Tanu Kayshayap were present on the occasion.
