Remembering Kasturba Gandhi with a play on her birthday

Not many people know about the exemplary life Ba had led, and how she stood resolute by her husband Mahatma Gandhi's ideals during the freedom struggle. On the 149th birth anniversary of 'Ba' Kasturba Gandhi , theatre wing Kaafila of youth organisation ANSH Happiness Society presented a play based on the life of this woman of substance. The play, complete with perky folk songs and fast paced story, left an impact on all gathered. It brought out the fiery spirit of the woman who had willingly become the shadow of the man responsible for India's independence. To establish her individual identity in the minds of youth, this event organised at Gandhi Bhawan , showcased the play ' Ek Yatra Ba Ke Ghar Ki'Penned by Kanchan Biswas, the drama was a delight to the audience as it took them through the extraordinary journey of an ordinary woman Kasturba.
