Clean chit to voter rolls in 4 MP seats after second check

EC had ordered that re-verification of these four constituencies be completed by June 18 on priority basis. In the second round, EC teams visited and collected signatures of more than 1 lakh voters and found only around 2,000 dead, shifted or absent voters. BHOPAL: T he Election Commission on Monday gave the clean chit - for the second time - to voter rolls in Hoshangabad , Narela, Seoni Malwa and Bhojpur constituencies after intensive re-verification.The four were included in the check of voter lists in 91 constituencies, ordered on Jun1 4, following Congress' objections to the clean chit given to electoral rolls in these four seats on the basis of a "sample survey". The report, submitted on Monday, reiterates that the Congress allegation is not true.
