BHOPAL: It was a platform that bought the LGBTQ community out of closet to share their success stories overcoming all odds. Youth from the rainbow community brought several aspects and social pressure that they had to face in the past. Born This Way ', an open-mic event organised on Sunday by Dylogg at Baithak, an art house, witnessed participation of a number of members of the community. I'd just like to ask the youth to not lose hope and not resort to taking extreme steps like suicide if their parents do not support them initially." Ashish Bhattacharya father of the organizer Kokila Bhattacharya, who attended the session with his daughter said, "Talking about sex was a taboo in our times.

Apart from the often recounted harrowing experiences, the members also shared their success stories and the steps they are taking for the welfare of the society.Throwing light on one of the major problems of the community, one of the participants Surbhi Mehta said, "There is hardly any sex-education or discussion about the topic. Our parents refuse to acknowledge that there are more genders other than masculine and feminine." Youth from the rainbow community brought several aspects and social pressure that they had to face in the past. Ashish Bhattacharya father of the organizer Kokila Bhattacharya, who attended the session with his daughter said, "Talking about sex was a taboo in our times. Today's youths are more open and this change overwhelms me. Right and wrong are subjective. I'd just like to ask the youth to not lose hope and not resort to taking extreme steps like suicide if their parents do not support them initially."
