BHOPAL: State Congress president Kamal Nath on Wednesday distributed work schedule for all members of the newly appointed party managing committee for the next four months. In the first meeting of the managing committee, also attended by AICC general secretary in-charge Deepak Babaria, party chief Kamal Nath gave clear instructions to hit ground zero and start work for the upcoming assembly polls.“With just four months left to the assembly polls, PCC chief Kamal Nath made separate teams for 12 zones. He gave work schedule for every team with specific instructions to reach out to every community and voters in all assembly constituencies with the message of the Congress party,” briefed Manak Agarwal, Congress’ media committee chairman.“Members of the committee were asked to dedicate the next four months of their lives to party work and repose faith in the people so the anti-incumbency against ruling BJP can become favourable for the Congress.” Agarwal said.State Congress claimed that all meetings are over and now the party is ready to plunge into the battlefield.At the managing committee meeting, Kamal Nath administered an oath to the approximately 85 members. The oath said, “I do solemnly swear to work towards the re-establishment of happiness and harmony in Madhya Pradesh . I will save farmers from suicides and lead them to progressive path, protect women and children from crimes against them, will stop loot through illegal mining and will try my level best to reinstate faith in the depraved and minority communities.Kamal Nath read the oath and the committee members repeated after him, “I will bear this responsibility and work towards in accordance with the rules and policies of the Congress party in the manner it did during the Independence Movement. With this, I swear to free Madhya Pradesh from fear, exploitation, chaos and mafia rule.Congress also adopted four resolutions at the meeting on farmer suicides, financial situation of the state government, unemployment of youth and crimes against women.The resolution on women said that the state tops in crimes against women and children, according to NCRB reports. “Last year there were 4882 cases of rapes registered. On average 15 rapes occur in the state daily,” the resolution said. The party expressed concern and condemned the rape of minor girls in Mandsaur, Satna and Sagar.
