BHOPAL: A 25-year-old drunk man climbed a 120-foot tower in Gandhi Nagar and created ruckus, setting off panic among locals on Tuesday.Police and BMC fire officials, who reached the spot, had a tough time counselling the man, identified as Lakhan Mehra. A police team and BMC fire brigade officials, who rushed to the spot, spread nets along the ground below the tower in case the man falls off from the tower. BMC fire officer Sajid Khan, even offered Rs 500 to Mehra, who was imploring officials telling them that he was desperately poor. Mehra came to Bhopal around four months ago and was staying on the footpath here.
