BHOPAL: Molestation horror at the gates of two well known schools sent shock waves through these localities on Monday. While two seniors molested a Class 9 girl, three juniors sexually assaulted a Class 12 girl — in the vicinity of their campuses. The girls, aged 13 and 17, have said that though people stood and gawked, no one bothered to help them.Three of the accused have been detained under IPC and POCSO Act. They are minors and were remanded in a reform home on Tuesday. Police are looking for two others.Investigation officer SI Vasundhara said that the Class 9 girl has told them that she was accosted around 5pm returning home from school. As she came out of the gates, two senior boys who were lounging outside started pressurising her to talk with them. When she refused, one of them allegedly grabbed her hand and molested her. She resisted and forced the molester to back off but the other boy threatened to kill her if she spoke to anyone about it.She alleged that many passersby saw her being molested but no one bothered to help. She returned home and told her parents, who immediatelyapproached police. Police have registered a case and are looking for the accused boys. It’s not yet clear if they are minors. Around the same time, the 17-year-old was allegedly molested in front of another school in the area by three juniors who study in class 8, 9 and 10. One of them lives in her neighbourhood and had been stalking her for months, says her complaint. Police arrested the trio and produced them in juvenile court, which remanded them in a reform home.
