BHOPAL: Two women were raped in separate incidents on the pretext of marriage on Saturday. The cases were registered in Nishatpura and Bairagarh police stations of the city.In Nishatpura, 23-year-old girl was being raped for five years with a promise of marriage while in Bairagarh a 37-year-old woman was raped in 2010 with the same promise, but accused later got married to someone else. Police said the cases have been registered in both the incidents, but the accused are yet to be nabbed.In Nishatpura, the police said that Ram Malviya is accused in the case. He met the girl, a resident of Gautam Nagar area, five years back when she was doing a course of beautician. Police said the accused befriended the woman and took her to different hotels and outraged her modesty with a promise of marriage. Later, he had a fight with the girl and threatened her with dire consequences, after which she revealed the matter to her family and got a case registered.The second incident was reported in Bairagarh. It took place in 2010. Police said 37-year-old unmarried woman is complainant in the case. The accused has been identified as Naresh. Police said the survivor stays with her siblings in Bairagarh. The accused came to meet her at her house for marriage in 2009. The two agreed for marriage and the accused outraged her modesty in 2010. The accused did not marry her as he was reportedly married to someone else. The woman then approached the police and got a case registered. Police said the accused would be nabbed soon.
