Madhya Pradesh: 86 youths caught at army recruit rally in Vidisha with 'fake documents'

BHOPAL: As many as 86 aspirants were caught on Sunday with fake Aadhar cards, mark sheets, online application receipts and domicile certificates during ongoing Army recruitment drive in Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh . They will not be able to participate in Army recruitment rallies in future. BHOPAL: As many as 86 aspirants were caught on Sunday with fake Aadhar cards, mark sheets, online application receipts and domicile certificates during ongoing Army recruitment drive in Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh . Officials said most of the bogus documents were made at Huzur thehsil in Bhopal district Four-day Vidisha Rally-2019 started on January 16. Only candidates from Bhopal and Chhindwara tehsil were eligible to participate today, said officials. Around 2040 students appeared for the selection and 292 cleared the tests.During a test check of their documents, it was found that 86 of them had submitted fake domiciles, Aadhar cards and education certificates to participate in the rally. However, no FIR was lodged against them.Col Manas Dixit, who was looking after the recruitments, told media that documents of 86 aspirants were not ‘genuine’.“Many documents were found bogus during our examination. Student who cleared 10 and 12th from Bhind and Morena districts had their domicile certificates of Bhopal. It has been found that maximum documents were being made in Bhopal’s Huzur Thehsil,” he said.“It would be difficult to identify their original addresses, but we are sure that they are not from Bhopal,” Col Dixit added. He said syndicate of agents who are well informed about the recruitment rallies are misleading aspiring candidates that by using bogus documents they can join the army.“I want to give a message to all aspirants that they should refrain from opting any wrong means to join army. If they think that they can get through recruitment process using these documents, they are mistaken. We will catch them,” he added.Meanwhile students who were caught told army officials that they had to pay Rs 20000 to Rs 25000 for getting all fake documents starting from receipts of online applications, and there were additional charges for each document if wanted separately.Army has streamlined process of verification of documents through different ways, easily identifying fake documents, said sources. These aspirants were let off after we gave them a warning. They will not be able to participate in Army recruitment rallies in future. It was decided not to lodge a police complaint against them. The move would have affected their future as they would not be able to seek any government job,” said an officer.The Army conducts a recruitment rally for a district only once in a financial year. A few aspirants submitted fake domicile certificates to take part in the rally for selection in the Army. The minimum education qualification varies from class VIII to class XII depending on the posts. They are competing for the posts of dharamguru and Hawaldar. Deceased Aman Khan, 22, resident of Khajuri area in Bhopal. Aman was called to appear for physical test.“He had completed around 400 meters. He was in the last position. Knowing that he would not be able to complete the test, he sat down. He was normal at that time. While going out of the camp, he fell on the road. We took him to hospital where doctors declared his death,” said Bhagwan Singh Thakur, Aman’s friend. "Prima facie, he died of a heart attack. The viscera have been sent to the forensic science lab to know the exact cause of death," a doctor said.
