Pulwama terror attack: MP CM Kamal Nath to attend martyred jawan's last rites in Jabalpur

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath will visit the village and family of Ashwini Kumar Kacchi, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan martyred in Thursday’s Pulwama terror attack. I pay homage to the martyrdom of the son of Jabalpur Ashwini Kumar Kacchi who was martyred in the Phulwama terror attack. The government will also provide a free residence and a government job to a family member.The chief minister tweeted on Friday morning, “Tributes to martyrdom. The soldier’s mortal remains are scheduled to reach his village by Saturday morning.On Friday, chief minister Nath issued a statement on the martyrdom of Ashwini Kumar Kachhi. When chief minister Nath goes to pay tributes to the martyred Ashwini Kumar Kanchi in his village, there is possibility that some of the cabinet minister would also go with him, the sources said.

He will also attend the martyred soldier’s cremation to pay respect to the departed soul.Nath will reach village Khurwal in Sehora tehsil of Jabalpur district at 4:30pm on Saturday to pay his condolences to the bereaved family of the martyred soldier. Ashwini Kumar Kacchi was a jawan of the 35th battalion and was in the fateful bus carrying CRPF troopers that was attacked by terrorists.A day before his visit to the martyred soldier’s home, the chief minister on Friday announced a compensation of Rs 1 crore to the family. The government will also provide a free residence and a government job to a family member.The chief minister tweeted on Friday morning, “Tributes to martyrdom. I pay homage to the martyrdom of the son of Jabalpur Ashwini Kumar Kacchi who was martyred in the Phulwama terror attack. Madhya Pradesh government will provide Rs One crore, a house and a government job to a member of his family. We stand by the family of this martyr in this moment of sorrow.”Sources in the chief minister’s office said that a cabinet meeting was called in Jabalpur on Saturday for which all members of the council of ministers will be in that city. When chief minister Nath goes to pay tributes to the martyred Ashwini Kumar Kanchi in his village, there is possibility that some of the cabinet minister would also go with him, the sources said. The soldier’s mortal remains are scheduled to reach his village by Saturday morning.On Friday, chief minister Nath issued a statement on the martyrdom of Ashwini Kumar Kachhi. He said, “Madhya Pradesh is proud of the brave young man. His martyrdom tells us that the youth of our state have the courage to lay down their lives for the protection of our country. It is the result of the courage of such young men that the enemy had to attack in such a cowardly manner.” He also said, “I salute the family of martyr Ashwini Kumar who sent their son to the border to protect the nation. No form of terrorism will be tolerated in the state and the country. Terrorism should be will be uprooted.”
