Bhopal: Former chief minister and senior BJP leader Babulal Gaur has praised Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav applauding PM Narendra Modi in his speech in Lok Sabha.In a letter to Mulayam Singh Yadav, Gaur has thanked him for rising above political interest for good of the country. Gaur has also informed Narendra Modi about his letter to Mulayam Singh Yadav. Gaur, who has got offer to contest LS polls on Congress ticket, told TOI that the country is above party and political interests. Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday created a flutter in the Lok Sabha when he said he wished to see Narendra Modi back as prime minister, a sentiment acknowledged by the BJP leader with folded hands.Mulayam’s “blessings” for Modi left opposition members squirming at a time when his son Akhilesh Yadav has joined hands with Mayawati of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) to challenge BJP in the politically crucial state of Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. UP accounts for 80 of the 545 Lok Sabha seats. “I wish that all members come back to the House,” Yadav had said in his speech. Mulayam had also wished that Modi comes back as the prime minister. “I wish pradhan mantriji becomes pradhan mantri again,” said Yadav, with UPA chairperson and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi sitting by his side.
