Few regions witness rainfall, temperature dips little in State

After a week of extreme hot weather conditions little relief was witnessed on Thursday as few regions have received rainfall and temperatures have dipped little. The pre-monsoon activities are likely to intensify in the next three days and would provide relief from the harsh weather conditions.Possibility of favorable conditions for the arrival of south-west monsoon in Kerala around the scheduled date of June 1, 2020 is likely.State capital recorded day temperature at 43.5 degree Celsius while the night temperature was recorded at 30 degree Celsius. During the last 24 hours light rains were recorded in the districts of Jabalpur and Rewa divisions while remaining divisions remained dry.Rewa, Sidhi, Satna, Chhindwara, Chhatrapur, Tikamgarh, Damahe, Rajgarh, Khargone, Gwalior, Datia, Guna and Morena districts witnessed heatwave conditions.In the next 24 hours Chambal and Rewa divisions are likely to record light rainfall. On Wednesday Khajuraho, Nowgong, Rewa, Sidhi, Gwalior, Datia and Morena recorded day temperature above 46 degree Celsius. Pre-monsoon activities likely to increase in Madhya Pradesh from June 2 and there is possibility of showers, thunderstorms, thunderstorms with light rain and thunderstorm at some places from somewhere under pre monsoon activities.

Met department told that in the coming days, the hotness in Madhya Pradesh will continue to decrease and the pre-monsoon activities are likely to increase.The southwest monsoon has advanced into parts of the Maldives-Comorin region, some more parts of the South Bay of Bengal, the Andaman Sea and the remaining parts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Pre-monsoon activities likely to increase in Madhya Pradesh from June 2 and there is possibility of showers, thunderstorms, thunderstorms with light rain and thunderstorm at some places from somewhere under pre monsoon activities.
