Guidelines for conducting sports activities prepared

As per the guidelines of the Government of India and the State Government, the Sports and Youth Welfare Department has prepared a guideline for conducting sports activities in Bhopal from June 1, 2020. Keeping in view the transition of COVID 19, the sports activities will be held in phases. The Sports Authority of India has also mentioned to allow entry only after the results of the COVID 19 test are negative. It will be mandatory for the player to participate in the training being conducted to prevent COVID 19 infection. It will also be mandatory for the player to follow the prescribed protocol for protection from the COVID 19.

As per the guidelines of the Government of India and the State Government, the Sports and Youth Welfare Department has prepared a guideline for conducting sports activities in Bhopal from June 1, 2020. Keeping in view the transition of COVID 19, the sports activities will be held in phases. Due to possible physical contact in various sports, sports activities can be started in the first phase at TT Nagar Stadium, Ankur Sports Complex and Old Campion Stadium and Major Dhyanchand Sports Complex in Bhopal city. Other sports like tennis, badminton and fencing will also be started in a phased manner. Director Sports and Youth Welfare VK Singh has given instructions to the officers to ensure strict adherence as per the guideline prepared by the department.Entry into the sports complex, stadium will be allowed only after the test of COVID 19. The Sports Authority of India has also mentioned to allow entry only after the results of the COVID 19 test are negative. Entry of the players from Red Zone into the sports complex will be prohibited. Only local players of the sports academies run by the department and other local and international and national medal winners, who are between 15 and 30 years of age, will be allowed to enter the sports complex. Entry of viewers, guardians will be prohibited. It will be mandatory for the player to participate in the training being conducted to prevent COVID 19 infection. The number of players at a time in each game at the time of practice shall not exceed 10. Keeping in mind the possibility of contact between players in the game of cricket, individual players of national, state level will be allowed personal fitness and personal training themselves. It will also be mandatory for the player to follow the prescribed protocol for protection from the COVID 19. It will be mandatory for the player to take all the precautions regarding COVID 19. The player should reach the training venue 30 minutes before their scheduled time. The gym will be completely banned. Players not following the rules will be restricted from entering the premises immediately.
