Govindpura police have booked an unidentified youth who assaulted and molested a 24-year-old girl on her way to home in afternoon on Thursday. According to the police, the victim was on her way to home and stopped to drink water from a tap and asked accused that water is potable but instead of providing details he molested and assaulted her.The victim raised alarm after which locals rushed to her rescue but the accused escaped from spot. The police have started investigation and registered case of molestation. The victim lodged a complaint with the Govindpura police against accused who had molested her and when she opposed she was assaulted and threatened her of life and escaped from spot. Based on complaint, police have registered a case under sections 506 and 354 of the IPC and have started search for accused who went absconding after complaint was lodged. Meanwhile, a 45-year old man, who had consumed poisonous substance at his Anna Nagar residence under Govindpura police station area on May 24, died while undergoing treatment at AIIMS Bhopal on Thursday. According to police, Tagraj Rajan was found in an unconscious state at his house and was rushed to a nearby hospital and was later referred to AIIMS hospital where he died during treatment late in the night on Thursday. The family members were not aware of reason behind death. After preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of CrPC and have started further investigation.
