Piplani police has booked an accused who sexually exploited a 20-year-old victim in the name of marriage and after she gave birth to a child, the accused refused to marry her. The accused went absconding after the complaint was lodged. According to the police, the victim who hails from Begumganj Raisen, was sexually assaulted by the accused Ramdayal Ahirwar. The victim was threatened with dire consequences by the accused. The victim kept mum but three months ago, after she delivered the baby, she reported the incident to her family and later lodged a complaint with the police. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and started investigation. The victim came into contact with the accused when he came to her grandmother’s house in Hathaikheda. In the complaint, the victim claimed that the accused used to live in the same locality where her grandmother lives and around four months ago, she had gone to meet her grandmother during which she met the accused.
