Bhopal: Though the much-awaited monsoon covered Bhopal on Monday, the bliss turned into woe for many by the evening. "It was a holiday and the weather too was pleasant. I was out with my family for a movie. All I wanted was to spend some quality time with my family. But we are stuck here in traffic as half of the road is submerged in water."The situation was no different in other parts of the city. At Link Road No 1, traffic flow was badly affected. It had come to a grinding halt at the busy Bus Stop area where the chaos continued for well over an hour. The drain hasn't been cleaned for a long time and hence it overflows at even the slightest of showers. The dirty water from the drain seeped into our shops on Monday. We have been complaining about it to the authorities but our pleas haven't been heard."Waterlogging was also witnessed at Safia College road. The BMC authorities remained unavailable for comment on the matter.
