Covid-19 update: Chandigarh records its 11th fatality on Wednesday

19 more cases were recorded in Chandigarh on Wednesday, taking the UT tally to 619.

A day after two city residents died of Covid-19, a 78-year-old man of Sector 19 succumbed to the virus on Wednesday, raising the UT toll to 11.

19 more cases were recorded in Chandigarh on Wednesday, taking the UT tally to 619. As many as 149 cases are active. Thirteen Covid patients were discharged from the hospital on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, India recorded its biggest single day hike on Wednesday with 32,695 new COVID-19 cases taking the overall tally to 9,68,876 cases. This is the first time that COVID-19 cases crossed the 30,000-mark.
