NEW DELHI/FARIDABAD: A 24-year-old man died in dubious circumstances after plunging from a first-floor hotel room in Faridabad in Haryana where he was engaged in a gathering with friends, as stated by the police on Wednesday.Following the deceaseds mothers claim of foul play, an FIR was filed against the three friends of the man, and they are currently undergoing questioning, according to the authorities.As per the police, the individual who lost his life has been identified as Vikas, a resident of Kheri village.In her complaint, Jaipali, the mother of the deceased, stated that he had accompanied a villager named Virendra, also known as Veeru, on Wednesday.On Thursday morning, she received notification from the police informing her of her sons demise.She accused Veeru, Deepak, and Siddhant of murdering Vikas, asserting that the motive behind the alleged crime was his Dalit identity."We are questioning all three suspects after taking them into custody. We handed over the body to the kin after postmortem today. Further probe is underway," PTI quoted inspector Rajiv Kumar, SHO of Old Faridabad police station, as saying.As per the police, the preliminary investigation suggests that the four friends, including the deceased, ventured out together in Deepaks car. After procuring alcohol, they proceeded to the hotel.On Wednesday night, at approximately 10:00 pm, they arrived at a hotel located at Badkhal Chowk and reserved rooms 106 and 109. Shortly thereafter, everyone convened in room number 106 and commenced their celebration.A senior police officer mentioned that the companions of the deceased asserted that there was an open window in room number 106, obscured by a curtain. At approximately 3:30 am on Thursday, Vikas reportedly fell from that window onto the road unexpectedly.According to his friends, they hurriedly took him to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. However, Vikas mother contended that he was intentionally killed by his friends.Subsequent to the complaint, the police registered an FIR under sections 302 (murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code at Old Faridabad Police Station on Thursday.With agency inputs
