Addl CJM’s bike stolen from Gzb railway station

Ghaziabad: An additional chief judicial magistrates bike was allegedly stolen from the parking area of the railway station in the Kotwali area on Tuesday. Police have registered an FIR on Wednesday and started an investigation. According to the police, the Addl CJM, Sudhanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, a resident of Judges Compound, Model Town, was visiting his office at the district court located on the premises of Ghaziabad railway station. He was accompanied by constable, Harish Kumar.Upadhyay had parked his Royal Enfield at the designated parking space, behind an ATM, outside the railway station. When he returned at 6pm he could not find the bike. Nimish Patel, ACP of Kotwali area, said that police received a complaint from the judge on Tuesday. Police have formed teams and will nab the accused soon, said ACP Patel on Wednesday. An FIR has been registered against an unknown person under Section 379 (punishment for theft) of the Indian Penal Code. A team checked all the CCTV footage of the area but could not trace the bike yet. They are questioning people who were present at the entry or exit too, Patel added.
