This will cause the door to partially open, and the subsequent step is to manually open the door using your hands," as explained by another official.Its important to note that this mechanism is intended to be operated solely by a trained train attendant who is on board a RAPIDX train, as emphasized by the officials.A train attendant will be stationed in a premium coach of the train, but they are also free to move around in other coaches. Passengers can approach these attendants in the event of an emergency, as explained by the officials.To enhance safety, each RRTS station is equipped with platform screen doors (PSDs) that are seamlessly integrated with the RRTS train doors and the signaling system.In the case of an emergency, commuters have the option to use the Help Call Point directly at the concourse or platform level to contact station authorities. Additionally, passengers can also access emergency support through the RAPIDX Connect mobile application, as highlighted by the officials.The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has been assigned the responsibility of supervising the construction of Indias inaugural Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) connecting Delhi and Meerut.The full 82.15-kilometer Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS is scheduled to be operational by June 2025.Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate this section on October 20, and passenger operations are scheduled to commence on October 21.
