Woman found dead in hotel, friend booked

GHAZIABAD: A 23-year-old woman was found dead in a hotel room in Wave City on Sunday morning. Her friend has been booked in the case as her family is suspicious about his role.Shehzadi, a resident of Hapur, had come to Ghaziabad for shopping for her her marriage. Her friend, Azharuddin, called up her brother, Danish, around 7am, informing him about her death, after which, Danish alerted the police.Her marriage was scheduled on November 14. We last talked to her on Saturday evening. When I reached the hotel room, I saw foam coming out of her mouth and her dupatta lying near her, said her brother.Police have sent the body for an autopsy.Initial probe revealed that the woman came to the hotel with her friend, Azharuddin. On Saturday night, he left to get food and locked her room from outside. He informed the family about the body in the morning. He is absconding, said ACP Saloni Aggarwal.Danish has filed a complaint against Azharuddin.
