GHAZIABAD: Three men on a bike robbed a government school teacher of her car at gunpoint in Loni on Thursday afternoon, police said. According to police, the victim was identified as Sarita Verma, a resident of Rajendra Nagar. She is a primary teacher at a government school in Sirora Salempur, Loni. Verma told police in her complaint that she had been returning home from work in her Honda Amaze car around 3pm when the accused approached her.Three men on a bike came up from behind and stopped her car near Dharipur village, she said. They allegedly asked her to leave the car and, when she refused, took out a country-made pistol and tried to break the window of the drivers seat.The trio took her keys and attempted to drag her into the backseat to try to kidnap her, Verma added. They attempted to kidnap me when I got out of the car, but I resisted. Two of the accused fled with my car and one with the motorbike when they saw another two-wheeler approaching, she said, adding that all three men had their faces covered. Rajneesh Upadhayay, ACP of Loni said that a police team reached the spot immediately after receiving information about the case.
