Ghaziabad: A 33-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly killing his friend over some derogatory remark he made about the accuseds wife during a party on Monday in the Wave City area. According to police, the accused, identified as Deepak alias Chotu, a resident of Mehrauli, slit the deceased, Satendra Kumars throat with a sharp object after the two broke into a heated argument over Kumars disrespectful comment on Deepaks wife.Both were under the influence of alcohol.After Kumar failed to return home on Monday night, his father filed a missing complaint on Tuesday. Police recovered Kumars body from the accuseds house, who had fled from his house by then.The complainant told us that Satendra had gone to Deepaks house on Monday evening for a party and did not return home. The deceaseds family visited Deepaks house in search of Kumar but were told that he had left after the party, Vivek Yadav, DCP (rural) said, adding that two police teams were formed and the absconding accused was nabbed from the Wave City area within three hours.During interrogation, the accused, who used to work in a private company, revealed that the duo were drinking at his house when his wife had come with snacks. The deceased passed objectionable comment about his wife.
