GHAZIABAD: A fire broke out in a banquet hall in Ghaziabads Sector-3, Vasundhara, on Monday afternoon. There were over 60 people present at the spot and all were rescued by the fire department. Rahul Pal, Chief Fire Officer (CFO), reported receiving information about the fire at Kinsfolk Hotel & Banquet Hall around 2:10 pm. The fire department dispatched four fire tenders, three from Vaishali and one from Sahibabad, to address the emergency.Fortunately, two fire officers were in the vicinity and arrived before the fire tenders, using fire equipment from SG Homes and the banquet hall to combat the flames.The banquet halls ground floor hosted an event, while the second and third floors served as hotel rooms. The incident coincided with a couples 50thmarriage anniversary celebration, with six people in the hotel rooms. All individuals were successfully rescued.Preliminary investigations point to a short circuit outside the building on the second or third floor. Decorative materials susceptible to fire exacerbated the situation, causing the flames to quickly spread.
