Waiter beaten to death at wedding function in Ghaziabad

GHAZIABAD: Three men were arrested in Ankur Vihar on Wednesday for allegedly beating a 26-year-old waiter to death at a wedding function in CGS Vatika Guest House, Pusta Road on November 17. The deceased identified as Pankaj Kumar, a resident of DLF Shankar Vihar, was working as a waiter at the wedding. His body was recovered from the bushes near Garhi Kattaiya village on November 18.Ghaziabad police said, The deceased was carrying some plates to get them washed.When the plates accidentally brushed against some guests, they got angry at this and a heated argument broke out. Kumar was beaten up by Manoj Gupta, a partner at CGS Vatika. With the intention of killing him, he was tossed on the ground and suffered severe head injuries.The accused have been identified as Manoj Gupta and his two associates Amit Kumar and Ajay Kumar.
