The word ‘ ghorchim ’ means relatives or family. And that is what this tiatr focuses on – the relationship between family members and how the greed for money can destroy these familial ties. In this story, in particular, the consequences of such greed includes the wrath of God.Jazu and Franky play the lead roles of father (Balthazar) and son (Paulo), and they are both excellent.Jessie Dias, as Jessie, Balthazar’s wife, carries her role with an admirable poise and grace, that highlights her long years of experience, and a maturity acquired under the tutelage of some of the stalwarts in the industry.Joana, with her natural talent, seamlessly shoulders the major comic responsibilities. Among the others in the cast, the young boy Joshua is a talent to look out for. He’s just as at ease belting out solos, as he is on the violin or the keyboard.There’s a song by Saby , which imitates Osvy Viegas, and is a joy to behold. It received a rousing round of applause from the audience as well.In total, there are four Cantos in the tiatr, but more could have been added to enrich the experience.The other songs worth a mention are Fungsaum, the opening song by Benzer and Elaine, Benny de Aldona’s solo Avoiche Koixtt, Reagan’s solo Tarvotti, the comedy solos Nouro Zai by Nato and Joana , the duet Dothin Kazar by Jazu and Lourdes, and the two political trios – one by Reagan , Tony de Ribandar and Benzer, and the other by Jessie Dias, Joana and Lourdes.
