Velip, who turned 65 on September 5, has introduced a number of steps to improve the functioning of the SC/ST panel. Panaji: The state cabinet has approved an amendment to a provision under Goa Commission for SC/ST Act, 2010, to allow commission chairperson Prakash Velip to continue in office till the age of 67 .The cabinet, through a circulation, decided to amend the section to allow Velip, who was appointed to the commission in May 2017, as the chairperson.
