Positivity kills half of this disease. I know because my mom too is the victim of it. But she is also strong and undergoing normal activities. Maybe it is Parrikar who wanted to oversee it,” said Pallavi Baruah in a reply to Abdullah’s tweet.Another Twitter user, Sharanya Shetty said, “My late dean Dr. B Sureshchandra had Leukemia and till his last day all he wanted to do was work n exactly like his routine. No excuses. Clearly this is Manohar Parrikar’s wish to keep working till he can. So next time don't use words like Tamasha. Raghunath.The Congress in Goa adopted a more subdued approach and instead called on Parrikar to participate in Goa’s Liberation Day celebration on December 19.“Will appreciate Goa chief minister’s effort to personally visit and inspect the bridge, if the same spirit is displayed on December 19 to unfurl our tricolour and deliver the Liberation Day address and honour Goa’s Liberation. To unfurl tricolour is much easier and honourable job than visiting bridge,” said Goa Pradesh Congress committee president Girish Chodankar.Many citizens across the country urged Parrikar to focus on his health. “Sir, please look after your health first. Please take all necessary rest and medications,” said Rita Balakumar on Twitter.
