Panaji: Controversy seems to follow Vishnu Wagh even in his death, with his brother Ramrao Wagh saying he suspects foul play. “I have expressed doubts over the delay in the announcement of his death. We, being the family members, would like to know the facts, especially as to why there was a delay in announcing that he had passed away,” he said.“It is natural for anyone to ask. If he died on February 8, how is that the announcement came only on February 13. In this era, information is transmitted in no time from any part of the world. We want to know what exactly happened there. The sequence of events,” he said. On whether he would take up the matter with the government, Ramrao said he has requested the state to check the sequence of events, how it unfolded and more importantly, the medical reports. Sources said Waghs’ close family relatives were not aware till Wednesday about the death. tnn
