Vasco: The Murgao Nagrik Shigmotsav Samiti organised Shigmostav celebrations at Vasco on Friday.Hundreds of spectators gathered on Swatantra Path to witness the float parade.Owing to the code of conduct, the parade timing was curtailed.The shigmo celebrations commenced at 4.30pm, and as it had to wind up by 10pm, Vasco police was seen asking the participants to quickly proceed with their performances.A total 26 floats, 13 romtamel, 4 folk dances and 26 fancy dress participants presented their items for the judges.The Shigmotsav Samiti had arranged for tieing of turbans (phete) free of cost for those who had gathered.
